[BONUS] Keynote Presentation
with Richard Saitz, M.D.
Words Matter: Addiction Terminology, Accuracy and Stigma
We are honored to welcome Dr. Richard Saitz, M.D. for two keynote presentations during our conference weekend!

Join us on Friday evening for a bonus keynote, Words Matter: Addiction Terminology, Accuracy and Stigma

This is a topic that Dr. Saitz is passionate about and we at SMART Recovery share his enthusiasm for changing the landscape in addiction terminology.

About Dr. Saitz:

Dr. Saitz is chair and professor of Community Health Sciences at Boston University (BU) School of Public Health, and professor of medicine at BU School of Medicine. He chaired the Treatment and Services review committee for the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, is associate editor of JAMA; editor-in-chief of Journal of Addiction Medicine.

World Premiere of Authentics
A New Film Featuring SMART Recovery in Its Storyline
We are excited to announce the world premiere of a new short film about addiction and recovery, Authentics, produced by Rising Act Films, and made possible thanks to the generous contribution of the Chris and Debbie Swain Charitable Foundation.

This year has seen the release of several major motion pictures on the subject of recovery, including Ben is Back starring Julia Roberts, Beautiful Boy starring Steve Carell, and the upcoming A Million Little Pieces starring Billy Bob Thornton. What all these films have in common, however, is that they portray AA's 12-Steps Program as the only effective treatment option in their storylines.

What makes Authentics unique and groundbreaking is its focus on SMART Recovery as the basis of its narrative.

The premiere will happen Friday evening during the kickoff dinner. You won't want to miss this!
