Greetings and Happy Spring!
Even though the warmer weather has not quite arrived – it definitely feels like Spring in Toronto. Although the long winter seemed to delay the start of the spring real estate market, April’s active listings were in line with 2018 numbers, and our expectation is that listings will continue to increase this month, as the weather further improves.
The downtown condo re-sale market remains competitive, with the number of buyers at the entry level price point outweighing the number of sellers. This trend is also consistent with well-priced, freehold properties in downtown and midtown Toronto. The demand from investors and end users remains high for new construction condominium projects along major public transit routes in the GTA. This recent activity and buyer confidence bodes well for a healthy and strong real estate market this spring.
