Subject: NNBA News ~ #NursesRockingBusiness #NNBA2022 Conference Highlights! Save the Dates for #NNBA2023!

August 1, 2022
Nurses rocking business in Las Vegas this past week at NNBA’s signature educational conference on Nurse Entrepreneurship & Career Alternatives! The power of yes resonated throughout this conference after Joan Sullivan Garrett’s powerful opening keynote address. Joan Sullivan Garrett is the Founder and Chairman of MedAire, the world’s largest integrated aviation and maritime provider of medical, travel, and safety services. Joan’s story of how one young life impacted her in starting MedAire is extraordinary. Later in Joan’s presentation we were riveted to our seats as we listened to an actual emergency in the skies that resulted saved lives of an infant and mother. Many nurses purchased Joan’s book and we benefited from her engaging with us throughout the day.
Everyone enjoys our meet and greet reception. The camaraderie, networking, and building relationships begins. Relationships that many nurses will have the rest of their lives.
A couple hundred nurses from everywhere in the United States and nurses joined us from Canada, Australia, and Ireland. The enthusiasm and positivity were palpable!
All of our speakers did a wonderful job educating while entertaining us with the latest information on: home healthcare and the entrepreneurial options available to NPs and RNs, the power of video for our business, life care management opportunities, moving beyond the fear of failure, eliminating money blocks, integrative nurse coaching trends, developing an education and consulting business, and how to turn your 60 minute presentation into a 6 figure business! Plus nurses arrived early to attend the in-depth workshops focused on Marketing, Holding Retreats, Diversified Income Streams and Eldercare

Speaker's pictures will be coming soon and so many are already posted in social media using hashtag #NNBA2022.

These are the winners of NNBA Survivor – The Entrepreneur Edition Surviving and thriving is what happens beyond the pitch. Nurses met and enjoyed the challenge. Many commented on the experience of the time saving benefits of collaboration, brainstorming, innovation, the benefits of diversity in creativity and problem solving, conflict resolution, incorporating different perspectives and seeing nurses solving the challenges in healthcare.

Donna and I congratulate the winners of, NNBA Survivor - The Entrepreneur Edition! Mimi O'Hanlan, Nevada, Pamela Miller, New York, Alesha Logan North Carolina, Susan Kent, Ireland, Barbara Tracy, Washington, and Delphine Dorsey, Oklahoma

Audience engagement was off the charts, so much information shared by the exchange of interesting questions and answers!

Close to wrapping it up where many of our speakers take questions from the audience.

After the past couple of years with this pandemic, this event was truly special allowing us to be in person again. If you didn’t make it, we are sorry to have missed you. Plan to be with us next year and save the dates for August 3rd through the 5th for #NNBA 2023! Registration will open in March.

We want to congratulate Ellen Vaugh Makar from Connecticut who dedicated time to attend NNBA’s conference, won the grand prize drawing of #NNBA 2023 conference and hotel stay and in between all this, just to top things off, she found time to get married!

A big thank you to our sponsors and exhibitors again. They had so much engagement and activity at their booths. There are many more pictures from #NNBA2022 that we promise to post and get on our website, www.NursesBusiness.com soon.

As you can see, the NNBA lives our mission to encourage, empower, serve, educate and connect nurses! We are nurses celebrating what can be achieved when it comes to business and entrepreneurship!

Unconventionally yours,

Michelle
