The VPH institute is looking for 2 motivated persons with a background in computer modeling and simulation, digital twins, artificial intelligence or health data to reinforce the team and help to build the ecosystem for digital twins in healthcare.
POLICY NEWS
The European Commission has recently adopted its Horizon Europe work programme 2023-2024.
The Member States of the World Health Organization recently agreed to develop the first draft of a legally binding agreement designed to protect the world from future pandemics.
VPH COMMUNITY
The Board of Directors was appointed at the last GA in Porto (September 2022) and will now run for the whole 2023. We are very happy to have on board 10 prestigious organisation that excel worldwide for their research quality and their focus on in silico medicine.
On the 19th-20th January 2023, the Kick-off meeting of the interdisciplinary consortium of the European research project REALM, took place in Maastricht. The consortium is led by Professor Michel Dumontier from Maastricht University and is composed of 13 European partners, including the VPHi, and two associated partners.
Our VPHi member and Research Professor Georgios Stamatakos contributed to the tech community platform “THE YUAN” with a news on in silico medicine’s landmark developments.
The Journal of the Biomedical Engineering Society has just released a special issue on Modeling for Advancing Regulatory Science.
YOUNG SCIENTISTS COMMITTEE
The winner will be invited to present during the next VPHi Summer School. Deadline: end March 2023

VPH EVENTS
For the first time, five EU funded projects - SimCardioTest, SIMCor, SimInSitu, the CSA EDITH and the EIT Health project inEurHeart- join their forces to bring together the different actors of the in-silico cardiovascular ecosystem at a one-day workshop in Bordeaux on 22 March 2023.
