POLICY NEWS
During the European Parliament’s Plenary session in Strasbourg, the Parliament adopted a proposal for the creation of a Special Committee on “COVID-19 pandemic: lessons learned and recommendations for the future”.
Data Analysis and Real-World Interrogation Network (DARWIN) will provide timely and reliable evidence on the use, safety and effectiveness of medicines for human use, including vaccines, from real world healthcare databases across the European Union (EU).
On 1 March 2022 the Commission opened funding opportunities worth over €1.7 billion under the European Innovation Council (EIC).
VPH COMMUNITY
- Received 3 bids for the VPH2024 conference
The call for bids for the organisation of the VPH2024 conference closed on 28 Feb 2022. 3 strong proposals have been submitted and will now be evaluated by the board of directors of the VPH institute.
- InSilicoUK Network Survey #2- Estimating the first areas of impact of in silico trials and their volume
In its second survey, InSilicoUK wants to understand which therapeutic areas and technologies will see the biggest impact of in silico trials and sizing its potential economic impact
- eScience Center - Lorentz Competition on Digital Twins
The Netherlands eScience Center and the Lorentz Center are looking for researchers who want to join the eScience Center - Lorentz Competition 2022 to organize a workshop in the second half of 2023.

- New ebook on "Multiscale Modeling to Tackle the Complexity of Load-Bearing Organ and Tissue Regulation"
This new ebook published by Frontiers and edited by Jerome Noailly at all, collects 19 papers from worldwide specialists in the simulation of biomechanics- and mechanobiology-related mechanisms involved in tissue homeostasis regulation and/or in the pathophysiology of specific disorders.
