Subject: JULY Newsletter: Community Day July 24th!

JULY
NEWSLETTER

WE WILL BE CLOSED JULY 4th
HAVE A SAFE
& FUN DAY!
Our first Community Day will take place on Saturday, July 24th, from 11am to 4pm. This free event allows us an opportunity to give back to the local community. As a small business, we are indebted to the community, and we feel it is our responsibility to be engaged in a positive way. We will be hosting the International Marketplace Coalition along with Reconnecting to Our Waterways. We will provide them a platform to talk directly with the community. Our July month-long donation drive will benefit both organizations. Alongside that we will have food, live music, and entertainment for both kids and adults. We will also be raising money for both organizations by donating a portion of our day's sales. Come and enjoy live music with Slammer Jazz and Clint Buffington, vendor samples, face-painting, an art contest, free workshops, watch a mural being painted, store-wide sales and more! We hope you can join us for the festivities, rain or shine!
The International Marketplace Coalition (formally the Lafayette Square Area Coalition) is a nonprofit organization comprised of businesses, engaged citizens and community leaders who encourage economic growth and development on the northwest side of Indianapolis. The International Marketplace Coalition is embracing the diversity of our community through the help of local civilians and businesses who are actively working to transform the Lafayette Square area into the International Marketplace. But first, funding is needed to support the $15 million capital campaign to make the Global Village Welcome Center a reality. Funds will be used to help renovate the space, provide exhibit design, space build out and fulfill other dedicated projects to help "Shrink the Globe and Create a Village." Since donations are key to our growth and success, please consider donating whatever amount you can give. The Global Village Welcome Center will be: A place to eat. A place to shop. A place to be. We want to build on this diversity and strengthen our community. Donations will go toward making the Global Village Welcome Center (at 4233 Lafayette Road) a reality. This 56,000 square feet facility will feature:

• Cultural Galleries
• Event Hall
• Foyer
• Demonstration Kitchen
• Donor Recognition Wall
• Dance Studios
• Multi-Purpose Rooms
• Gift Shop
• Office Space
• Functional Space
• Welcome Hub

Imagine a welcoming place featuring cultural exhibits, classrooms, a demonstration kitchen, dance studios, event hall, functional space and other dedicated spaces. By donating to the Global Village Welcome Center, you will help us fulfill our mission – by creating a place where all cultures gather, share and celebrate different traditions while providing a sense of identity and belonging. The Global Village Welcome Center is dedicated to educating the world, preserving traditions and celebrating all cultures.

Reconnecting to Our Waterways collective impact works to achieve waterway neighborhood improvements (physical, environmental, economic and social). ROW has been able to convene community partners to enhance quality of life through innovation, analysis, cultural advancement and investment along Indy waterways and neighborhoods. They have walked alongside communities to discover and celebrate Indy’s waterways as a community asset. Our members create new ways for the public to engage with our waterways through organizing fun events, creating innovative programs, providing technical assistance to communities, implementing physical improvements, and more. THE FOUR CAUSES OF CHRONIC DEGENERATIVE DISEASES

by Rick Montieth

Dr. Chris Knobbe, an ophthalmologist specializing in macular degeneration, presented at an Ancestral Health symposium and shared his reasons why we have chronic degenerative diseases. It all comes down to these diseases (obesity, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, macular degeneration, etc.) being driven by man-made, nutrient deficient, toxic, processed foods. Most of these diseases did not exist 150 years ago. The four causes are:
