| This year at NGLA, students are encouraged to become empowering leaders that create change, embrace differences in each other, change the common perception about fraternity/sorority life and hold each other accountable. This will be guided through the NGLA Institute, Educational Programming and Keynotes and Featured Speakers.

Thursday night: Chris Westfall, Westfall and Associates LLC |
| | Chris’ strategies have helped student leaders raise over $3 million in funding for social causes, innovation and new technology since 2013. He’s been featured at Alpha Tau Omega, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, the Big 12 Conference Kickoff, Ball State, Baylor, UT, SMU, OSU and many other universities. He currently serves as the official “pitch coach” at the nation’s fifth-largest university, where he specializes in authentic leadership communication. |

Friday: Dr. Walter M. Kimbrough

| | A native of Atlanta, Dr. Walter M. Kimbrough earned degrees from the University of Georgia, Miami University in Ohio and a doctorate in higher education from Georgia State University. He has enjoyed a fulfilling career in student affairs, serving at Emory University, Georgia State University, Old Dominion University and finally Albany State University in 2000 where he became the Vice President for Student Affairs at the age of 32. In October of 2004, at the age of 37, he was named the 12th president of Philander Smith College. In 2012 he became the 7th president of Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana. |
| | | | Kristen graduated from the University of Florida in 2010 with a degree in Finance and a minor in house cleaning. When she was a junior in college, Kristen founded Student Maid™, a cleaning business that only employs students who maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher. When Kristen started the company to pay her way through school, she had no idea that her little side project would turn into a career. Kristen turned down a dream job in finance to continue growing Student Maid™, which now has two locations in Florida and more than 500 employees during peak seasons. |
| | | | | As one of the nation’s premier campus keynote speakers, Tish Norman uses public speaking as a platform for change. She is the Executive Director of Transforming Leaders Now, Inc., a leadership development company, specializing in collegiate programming in leadership, women, career skills and the African American experience. |

Todd M. Wysocki, Ph.D. Professor of Psychology, Hudson Valley College

| | Dr. Todd M. Wysocki is a Professor of Psychology at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York and a founding partner of Reframing Leadership Consulting, which provides speaking services, workshops, presentations and round table discussions on a variety of topics on leadership development in higher education. Wysocki has a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University at Albany (SUNY), a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from St. Bonaventure University and a Bachelor’s degree from Marist College. |
| | | | James Robilotta is an author, professional speaker, personal coach and entrepreneur. In July of 2015 James had his first book published, Leading Imperfectly: The value of being authentic for leaders, professionals, and human beings. He also speaks to willing and unwilling audiences internationally about authentic leadership and promoting memorability. |

| | | The NGLA Annual Conference staff invite you to participate in the 3rd Annual Silent Auction! The 3rd Annual Silent Auction is not only a way to win fabulous prizes, but it is also a way to raise money for future scholarships to students attending NGLA in 2017. Last year, the Silent Auction raised over $3,000! Collectively in the past two years, the Silent Auction has raised $5,500!
This year, we are challenging each delegation to bring an item or basket to donate to the Silent Auction. Also, don’t forget to bring some extra cash onsite to bid on the many items that we will have up for auction. We also take credit cards, too!

| | | | The Advanced Leadership Summit provides an opportunity for student leaders who have taken part in NGLA or other significant leadership educational programs to drill deeper into meeting the challenges of leading. The 2016 Summit will focus on "Leading Through Issues."
Chapter and community leaders often find themselves struggling to implement change in operations. Oftentimes, emphasis is placed on specific members, chapters or incidents when real change is more likely to happen by focusing on issues. The Advanced Leadership Summit’s focus will be on making standards clear, understanding what needs to change when challenging issues arise and designing chapter or community specific initiatives that will enhance ideal standards as well as overall safety of chapter events, activities and operations. Through an interactive dialogue, participants will learn how to lead their chapters or community to focus on issues by identifying multiple intervention opportunities for solving day-to-day problems, resolving conflicts and leading change within their chapters or communities.
Participation in the NGLA Advanced Leadership Summit track will prepare participants to:
- Develop a philosophy and approach to their leadership practice, focused on strategy/intention
- Effectively utilize principles and values when addressing issues within the chapter or community
- Identify and navigate key organizational relationships, culture and dynamics. Develop initial strategies for change management with a focus on issues as opposed to incidents
