On June 4, 2019, The Bridge held its annual Partners in Caring Awards Gala. 400 gathered to honor Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., Jonathan D. Resnick, and the Dynamic Air Conditioning Company for their meaningful work and partnership with The Bridge.

A client of The Bridge, Charles de San Pedro Jr. beautifully described the impact of the agency’s programs on his personal and professional development, including his pursuit of graduate education and authoring books.

The Bridge's Aging Services program, which provides additional interventions to older adults living in supportive housing, was the focus of the evening's special appeal. A short film highlighting the program was screened

In total, the event raised over $600,000, which will support The Bridge's work in providing behavioral health and housing services to New Yorkers in need. Thank you to everyone who supported this event.
Program Spotlight: Maple Residence
This past fall, we moved the first tenants into Maple Residence.  The housing program, located in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, has 50 permanent supportive units for single adults diagnosed with a serious mental illness and 16 affordable units for low-income families and single adults from the community.
Maple Residence

The newly constructed 8 floor building, designed by Edelman Sultan Knox Wood Architects, features three yard spaces, including one with a vegetable garden maintained by the clients. There is also a community room and kitchen, laundry facilities, and a game room used for therapeutic groups and activities.

Maple Residence is staffed around the clock and onsite services for supportive housing residents include case management, linkages to services in the community, and therapeutic and recreational groups.

With the addition of Maple Residence, The Bridge now operates 1,385 units of supported housing in New York City.

This May, volunteers from SiteCompli visited Maple Residence and spent the day painting, gardening, and playing board games with our clients. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a bbq lunch in the yard. Thank you SiteCompli for spending the day with us!
