Finish Well
So what can we learn from an improbable comeback by the Pats in Super Bowl 51? It’s more important to finish well than it is to start fast and fizzle out!

The Apostle Paul confirmed that truth in
2 Timothy 4:7-8:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”

Life hits hard and sometimes we are dealt some very difficult cards, but God will empower us through even our most difficult times to overcome and stand victorious. Paul’s claim that he kept the faith is not an acknowledgement of his own power to remain faithful, but rather it is a testimony that he kept the one who is forever faithful in his heart.

Paul never denied Christ; he kept his faith in God till the end. Paul finished well and received the crown of righteousness. Remember Paul started out as an ambitious murderer, but when he encountered Christ he never looked back. That’s why Paul could say from personal experience; “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new”
(2 Corinthians 5:17).

Don’t stop short of the finish line.

KEEP THE ONE WHO IS FOREVER FAITHFUL (JESUS),
LET GO OF EVERYTHING ELSE AND DON’T LOOK BACK!
