2019 ACE AWARDS ANNOUNCED
TICKETS FOR JUNE 5 AWARDS BREAKFAST AVAILABLE
Tickets are available for our fourth annual Arts & Culture Empowerment (ACE) Awards Breakfast, celebrating the individuals, organizations, and businesses who have made significant contributions to the Fairfield County community through arts and culture. The breakfast, will be held Wed, June 5, 2019, 7:30-9am at the Shore & Country Club220 Gregory Boulevard, Norwalk. Please join with us to celebrate the awardees and our thriving cultural life in Fairfield County. 
The 2019 ACE Awards recipients:
Artist - Jane Davila, printmaker, fiber and mixed media artist, textile designer, editor, author, and teacher, who also manages the NEST Arts Factory in Bridgeport.
Citizen - Nick Viscontia Westport-based philanthropist, serving on the Drew Friedman  Community Arts Center Foundation board of directors. 
Corporate - Cohen & Wolf that serves leadership roles in more than 100 organizations, associations, commissions, and boards throughout the area.
Educator - Gina Scarpa, Director of Education at Center Stage, Shelton, and founder of the Center Stage Education Center, serving more than 115 students. 
Nonprofit - INTEMPO, whose founder and executive director Angelica Durrell, is an Ecuadorian-born violinist, educator and social entrepreneur.

INDIVIDUAL NEWS
Eugenie Diserio's painting, Shaman (acrylic, glitter on canvas, 36x48; at right) is on exhibit in Beechwood Arts Spring Immersion Salon and Arts Open House, exploring and experiencing the theme of "Journeys" that make an impact. Eugenie also has Kali and Om Shanti in The Art of Being A Girl at the Carriage Barn Arts Center's hosting LiveGirl's celebration of female power and the arts. The exhibit runs May 16-26 with a benefit performance event on May 19. Eugenie says, "I'm honored to collaborate again with Beechwood and LiveGirl.  These innovative, visionary organizations inspire and entertain, as well as, mentor and empower our communities through the arts."
New member, singer-songwriter Liz Gabriel' current music video is Bye Bye Little Boy. She has a new music video coming out later this month, Falling. Stay tuned.

Lee Walther has her Spring Goddess (at right) as part of the Artist Collective of Westport pop up show, 47 Main Street, Westport through May 31st. Meanwhile, her Winter Goddess was juried into the Ridgefield Guild of Artists show from May 18th to June 23rd. Both are photos of collaged torso on aluminum with mixed media adornments. Lee Walther is also featured in the "I Am" photo project  by international photographer Angelika Buettner at Noya Fine Jewelry Gallery, 18 Riverside Avenue, Westport, through May 30.
