At the meeting on 10 September 2018, the Members discussed the interim report on the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2021-2027 and Horizon Europe.

The EC has recently posted its latest report on patients’ rights in cross border healthcare.

- Need for a guideline revision on the investigation of medicinal products in the term and preterm neonate
On 17 September, EMA published a concept paper on the need for a revision of the guideline on the investigation of medicinal products in the term and preterm neonate.

- Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare
On 18 September, the 4th Annual Public sector transformation Conference organised by Forum Europe and Hewlett Packard Enterprise took place. One of several organized panels addressed Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Healthcare.

The ITRE Committee has decided to work on an own-initiative-procedure on “A comprehensive European industrial policy on artificial intelligence and robotics”
On 10 and 11 September the Austrian Presidency hosted an informal meeting of the EU Health Ministers.
VPH COMMUNITY
Frontiers in Medicine recently published an article by Tina Morrison and colleagues on how the FDA advances regulatory science with computational modeling for medical devices.
An article entitled ‘Modeling of virtual patients in the blocks - medicine in silico is looking for a European future’ reporting the Avicenna Event of 4 September, has been published on the 13 September in the French newspaper dealing with medical information: “le Quotidien du Médecin”.
On 11th September 2018 it took place the first meeting of the Executive Board of the UK Chapter of the VPHi.
MyoChip is now hiring 11 motivated researchers to work in a multidisciplinary and international collaborative environment.
A new position is available as a Research Associate as part of the €5M, H2020 EU funded STriTuVaD project. Closing date 12/11/2018
