Are you heading to the AIA Conference on Architecture 2019 in Las Vegas June 6-8? Make plans to check out the Blueprint for Better Film Series, hosted in partnership with ADFF, which will be located at the Westgate Hotel’s Pavilion Four.
Marking the launch of the 2019 AIA Film Challenge, the Blueprint for Better Film Series will debut a new documentary short about how design can address climate change. The film highlights New York architect Illya Azaroff, AIA, who collaborated with federal agencies and building product manufacturers to design a resilient, sustainable home for Diane Hellriegel, who lost her home during Superstorm Sandy. Azaroff has made plans for the Hurricane Strong house available to architects and builders for free, in hopes that they will be used and modified to build homes capable of withstanding future disasters.

Do More With Less shows how young architects in Latin America are changing the paradigm by offering a new understanding of the way architecture interacts with society.
