Perfect interaction: Centeration and distorsion measurement on one system

In order to meet the accuracy requirements of many high-performance lenses, a large number of different optical parameters must be tested and optimized during the manufacturing process. This is classically done iteratively at different measuring stations and requires multiple removal and set-up of the sample. Furthermore, transport between the measuring stations, for example in the case of stepper lenses, represents a special effort due to their size and high weight.

This is where the product combination of OptiCentric® and ImageMaster® can help:
On the combined system with its stable granite base, both the mechanical assembly of the individual components under continuous centration measurement and the subsequent testing of the imaging quality takes place. In particular, the distortion, MTF and image field curvature are determined.
Since there is no need to transport the samples and the changeover is very simple, the entire production process is much faster and more efficient. Necessary corrections can be made immediately.

In detail:

The classic functions of OptiCentric® and OptiSurf® support the assembly of lens systems with a centering error, air gap and center thickness measurement and ensure the optimal pre-alignment of the individual components.

A final MultiLens measurement of the resulting lens system completes the optomechanical characterization of the current production step.

To determine the image quality, the distorsion, MTF and image field curvature are determined on the same measuring system. By adjusting compensating lenses, the optimum performance of the lens is achieved.
