CATHOLIC PROGRESS IN WHAT WE PROFESS
LIVING IT: THE CARDINAL VIRTUES

Recently at a monthly “Battle Ready” evening JonMarc Grodi drew upon the wisdom of Jozef Pieper’s work on the Cardinal Virtues -- offering insight into how we might more fully make progress in what we profess. Become who we’re made to be. The best version of ourselves. How might our duty actually become our delight.

We intermixed it with select pieces from Handel’s oratorio, "Esther." Why Esther? Because it’s the true story of an unlikely Jewish queen who does not cower to fear. Faced with the choice of preserving her own life and watching her people be exterminated, or risking her own life by advocating for their lives, she chooses that latter, and exhibits extraordinary virtue that echoes through the ages. Virtue made available to us today. Virtue needed today. For such a time as this.
