The Powerball is at $375 million.
Chance of winning: 1 in 292 million.
You'd have a greater chance:
1. Dying from an asteroid strike: 1 in 75 million
2. Being named a Saint: 1 in 20 million.
3. Getting attacked by a shark: 1 in 11.5 million
4. Dying from chronic constipation: 1 in 2.2 million
5. Becoming a movie star: 1 in 1.5 million
6. Getting struck by lightning: 1 in 1.1 million
7. Dying from a hornet, wasp or bee sting: 1 in 79,842
8. Bowling a 300 game: 1 in 11,500
9. Injured by a toilet: 1 in 10,000
10. Writing a best-selling novel: 1 in 220.
All that said, the following have ZERO chance of happening outside of known, scientific means: terminally ill healed, blind seeing, deaf hearing.
Yet I've witnessed each in my lifetime.
In fact, consider the strictly scientific (non-faith) probability the unique YOU ever existed:
1. Random chance of a man and woman ever existing and having the symbiotic capacity to reproduce: 1 in a gazillion
2. Probability of the exact dad and mom coming together at the exact time and the exact place: 1 in a gazillion
3. Probability of the one sperm hooking up with the one egg: 1 in 300 million (ave)
4. The probability that you survived through birth and up to this present moment....
My dear friend-- in the UNIQUE YOU EXISTENCE lottery.. your chances were ONE in INFINITY! IMPOSSIBLE! YOU are a MIRACLE! YOU have been purposely, fearfully and wonderfully made! (Psalm 139:14)
