Golden Memories Automobile Gathering

Sunday, September 16, 2018
Sloan Museum, Flint Cultural Center
10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Friends of Sloan*Longway presents the 24th Annual Golden Memories Automobile Gathering this Sunday, September 16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a very special event exclusively for original or authentically restored vehicles produced in 1968 or earlier. Golden Memories is sponsored by Friends of Sloan*Longway, making it free to exhibitors and attendees. We welcome all authentic and original automobiles 1968 and prior. No visual modifications are allowed.

Registration takes place between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. the day of the event. Driver and one passenger will receive free admission to the show grounds, Sloan Museum, and 10% off all Sloan Museum Store purchases.

The show is free and open to the public. Sloan Museum general admission is also free for event-goers. Discover Flint and Genesee County's rich automotive history with a walk through Sloan Museum's permanent galleries. Over 600 artifacts on display tell stories about local people, industry, and culture.

Golden Memories is non-competitive, so there will be no judging; just a relaxing day with friends and fellow car enthusiasts who love well-preserved and restored automobiles. There will be a lottery drawing for the dash plaque vehicle of the 2019 show, as well as special recognition and a pass in review for vehicles celebrating 50, 75, and 100 year anniversaries. The first 200 vehicles will receive dash plaques. This year's dash plaque features the 1930 Ford Model A Tudor owned by Ken and Cheryl Roy.
