Dear Friend , I will be offering MAXIMIZING YOUR WALKING (Part III), Saturday Oct 21, 1-3 pm. This section of the workshop will focus on IMPROVING BALANCE & LEARNING HOW TO FALL. Don't worry, we will not be jumping from the rafters. We begin small; lying on the floor, rolling, learning to round and soften the body, and how to use core strength to keep your head from touching the ground. Later we experiment with 'small falls' from sitting and kneeling, and how to slough or slither off a chair. Finally, we explore how to control the force of a fall from standing through lowering your center of gravity when you lose your balance. Remember the saying; 'The taller the tree, the harder the fall.' Lowering your center reduces the impact. Learning how to do it is the focus of this workshop. MIND BODY DOJO is ideally suited for this kind of workshop because the entire floor is covered with 1.5-inch Aikido Mats that soften falls and protect your joints. You don't have to take all five Maximizing Your Walking workshops to benefit, and can join at any time. Keep walking, Ernie
