David Braley, whose gifts to the university include a $50-million investment in McMaster teaching, learning and health-care research and delivery, has allocated $7 million from that 2007 gift towards the new David Braley Centre for Antibiotic Discovery.

2019 Seed Funding Recipients

Dedicated to helping eliminate the global threat of antimicrobial resistance, the David Braley Centre for Antibiotic Discovery has demonstrated its commitment to fostering scientific collaboration by providing significant seed funding for four milestone-driven projects related to antimicrobial research and discovery. 2019 Student Fellowship Recipients

These competitive awards were designed to support students working in the labs of members from the David Braley Centre for Antibiotic Discovery during their summer practicum. Our recipients were selected based on their personal leadership, extracurricular involvement, academic achievement, and their project’s potential impact in the field of antimicrobial research.
