Fall is officially here and is one of our favourite times of the year. The leaves have begun to turn into their beautiful fall colours and within an hour’s drive from Toronto features some of the best places in the world to soak in some fall foliage.
The start to the Fall market in September was strong as predicted, which we expect to continue through October and November. Multiple offers have become common once again with downtown Toronto condos as well as freehold properties priced below the $2m mark. There continues to be supply constraints with listings as there are fewer new listings coming to market compared to the same time last year.
The U.S. Federal Reserve raised have their federal funds rate again which will likely mean interest rates are on the rise here in Canada as well. If you are a buyer in today’s real estate market, you should consider obtaining a mortgage pre-approval before you start shopping. A pre-approval will lock-in today’s mortgage rate for the next 90 days and protect you against any interest rate increases before you purchase.
