VPH COMMUNITY
What is a Digital Twin? How can it be used to make our life better?
In this short video, the VPHi explains in very simple terms how through the use of computer simulations we can create digital versions of ourselves (Digital Twins) to improve the understanding, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a disease.

The VPHi is excited to launch the 1st survey specifically designed for clinicians to map their level of knowledge and use of computer models & simulations.
Our long-term collaborator and in silico advocate at FDA, Tina Morrison, has been promoted to Director of Regulatory Science and Innovation
An increasing number of digital technologies are reaching the patient, sometimes directly but more often through their physicians and through the devices/ drugs they are relying on. In this brochure the VPHi has collected a first selection of in silico medicine success stories that have brought a significant impact!
The Dutch Research Agenda has awarded 9.9 million euros to implement a new way to assess the safety of chemicals and pharmaceuticals without using laboratory animals.
The videos of the European Health Data & Evidence Network (EHDEN) webinar mini-series are available on YouTube
The book, that will be published by Elsevier/Academic Press, explores the body of knowledge and state-of-the-art in Digital Human Modelling (DHM) with its application in Medicine. If you're interested to contribute the deadline for the submission of chapters is 31st March 2021.
STUDENT COMMITTEE
A call for participation for the VPHi student committee is now open! We are looking for motivated PhD students with interest in in silico medicine research willing to invest some energy and enthusiasm! Application deadline extended 10 Dec 2020.
