A cheese manufacturer is expanding its plant in Hilbert.

Irish company Ornua says it is making a $10 million upgrade to the Hilbert facility. Plans call for an additional 22,000 square feet of warehousing and cooling, increasing production capacity by 30%. The company expects the expansion will ultimately add 30-50 jobs.

A fourth observation period of a statewide survey measuring the economic impact of COVID-19 on Wisconsin business is open through July 20. This month’s survey will map both the effects and recovery from the first months of the pandemic, along with travel activities, according to Jeffrey Sachse, director of the UW Oshkosh Center for Customized Research & Services (CCRS).
