| Monday- Palomar College class- Near and Middle Eastern Dance class course 162, 163, 262 and 263 (Professor JoEllen Handelsman)
7:00 pm - 9:50 pm- So last week we went straight into our dances for the upcoming faculty show. This week we will keep on working on your dances, because I want you all to be spot on perfect while on that stage!!!! Please don't forget to add the below dates on your calendar. Please make sure that you will be at all the days for tech week and of course the performances. We also will work on Veils tonight in class!

Monday May 2nd Tech /Lighting ACT I 5PM to 11 PM Tuesday May 3rd Tech/Lighting ACT II 5PM to 11PM Wednesday May 4th Dress Rehearsal with costumes no makeup Thursday May 5th Dress rehearsal with costumes and FULL Make up Friday and Saturday May 6th, 7th Show 7PM Sunday May 8th Show 2PM There may be spacing rehearsal available for individual classes, the week prior to Tech week, according to theatre availability. I will keep you posted. Please make sure to inform your work so they can schedule time off for the show please. Tech and dress rehearsals are mandatory. After Sunday Performance it is MANDATORY that everyone stays for Strike: Stage, Back Stage, Dressing Room, Costumes and etc. -------------------------------
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
For the beginning and Intermediate students, this course is designed to develop knowledge of the following areas.
Introducing Classical and Folkloric dances from the Near and Middle East.
Classical Egyptian Folkloric dances that you will get a taste of: Beledy, Saidi, Fellahin, Khalleegi, Debke and Persian. If time permits, I few more.
Introduction of Middle Eastern rhythms: Beledy, Saidi, Ayoub, Chiftitelli, Masmoudi kabir and Khalleegi.
Introduction of Veil and Finger cymbals.
For the intermediate students: A taste of Choreography and much more! |

| | | | Wednesday- Sohaila's Shining Stars Class- All level belly dance class and Choreography class
7-8 pm: Learn how to get our Power on in class! Powerful moves, not just with the body, but our mind too!
8-9 pm: Detailing our choreographys tonight in class.
We always have room for more students, please tell you friends. Remember that I have online classes too. If you ever want to go back and watch what you have done in class, now you can!

| | | Saturday, every other month- Belly dancing for Pregnancy specialty class
Sohaila teaches once every other month at the Birthing Education Center.
This is a fun class for those that are pregnant from 1 week to 9 months! No need to feel like you can't dance right before childbirth, you can! Belly dance moves can enhance your pregnancy and your child birth. The next class is in October Enroll and join us! Dates at a glance: Apr 16

Email me and let me know exactly what you would like to focus on..perhaps inner and outer thighs. Possibly the arms….just let me know and I will dedicate the workout to you! Just like Debbra did, she asked if we can focus this last class for inner and outer thighs and gluteus, so we did!
