The AIA Film Challenge 2019 invites architects and filmmakers to produce three-to-five-minute documentary-style films that tell stories of architects working with civic leaders to create resilient and sustainable communities. Show us your Blueprint for Better.

Registration closes August 12, and winners are announced in October.

This documentary short tells the story of the Hurricane Strong Home, designed by Illya Azaroff, AIA, of +Lab. In partnership with civic leaders, federal agencies, and building product manufacturers, Illya and his team set out to design a resilient and sustainable home for Breezy Point, NY resident Diane Hellriegel, whose home was damaged from Hurricane Sandy.
